      No matter what troubles we have or encounter in this fallen world, due to the corrupt nature of fallen mankind, if in whatever state we find ourselves in, if we come to the good word of God and partake of it, and resist sin and the temptations thereof, no matter how long the battle against us may be, if we do not quit, if we do get up again, no matter how many times we may have fallen, if we resist, if we claim a promise of God, if we find a good thing to hold on to from the scriptures, no matter if it takes 10 days, 10 years, 50 years, no matter how many or how little, God is faithful to forgive, restore, renew, reinhabit, reclaim, and recondition us, and is it worth it?

      It’s worth it as much as light exceeds darkness, as much as life is better than death or as much as joy is better than bitter sorrow, though sorrow in this world always comes first.

      Anybody willing? What if it took 50 years? How about 20? Would you be willing? What if it took only 10 days? Howabout being willing to go the right way forever?

      Christopher Doyle’s article is succinct and right on the money. His conclusions are based on fact, and fair and correct interpretations of those facts. I believe this is true from both a therapeutic and political perspective. In fact, his article also compliments sound biblical principles. Thanks Christopher.

      Mainstream psychiatry and psychology has been thoroughly compromised by homosexual activists and sympathizing ideologues. “Homosexuality” was removed from the DSM list of disorders in 1973 as a result of to homosexual activist coercion, bullying, threats in 1973, and not based on any scientifically objective decisions. At the 1978 annual APA (American Psychiatric Association) meeting, a formal structure was adopted for the Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual Caucus of the American Psychiatric Association, which is now named the Association of Gay and Lesbian Psychiatrists (AGLP). In 1978, an official APA Task Force on Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual Issues was established, which was given formal status as a standing committee in 1981. The following year the Assembly, APA’s legislative branch, approved adding elected representatives from a group initially designated as the Caucus of Homosexually Identified Psychiatrists, and later renamed the Caucus of Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual psychiatrists. The Caucus is still active in the APA Assembly.

      http://www.aglp.org/pages/chistory.html

      Since its founding, AGLP with a membership of over 600 psychiatrists, has been active in helping to shape the dramatic conceptual shift in the cultural understanding and significance of homosexual behavior within psychiatry and within society. With the support of AGLP members, the APA has issued Position Statements supporting same sex unions and the adoption and co-parenting of children by same sex couples (http://www.care2.com/causes/apa-unanimously-supports-gay-marriage.html), as well as a position statement opposing “Reparative Therapy” as unethical.” (http://www.citizenlink.com/2011/07/27/therapy-for-unwanted-homosexuality-%E2%80%93-part-2/) Nothing objectively scientific or neutral here folks. Any APA accredited therapist who specializes in issue of “gender” and “sexuality” are nothing but ideologues of the homosexual activist bias.

      Many give testimonies of either “orientation change” or “successful celibacy”. While many with unwanted same- sex desires( for whatever the reason), most of those who do really ‘change” happened to have a bi- sexual tendency, and not solely ‘gay’. I myself an a Spirit filled child of God who spent the last 30 years trying to be Changed by God, went through ‘ deliverance’, was counselled, got a diploma in christian counselling, dated a woman, and lived celibate for 10vyears- all the while testifying ‘ in faith” that I am ‘healed’ of homosexual orientation and desire. I even prayed for a wife chosen by Father God himself. But I had to face the truth before God, that actually nothing changed in my orientation. And that even though I could ‘fake- it – till – I – make- it” with a woman/ wife, truth is I never ever had sexual attraction for woman, even now after everything, and believing with all my heart. All I had every day was tge reality of my loneliness, and ever present attraction to men. I do however know today that the Scriptures originally given by the Holy Spirit to the writers of the Bible- contains no laws or judgement against loving, commited gay relationships, but the 6 scriptures used to condemn homosexuality as sin, in its original language and context, always refer to idol- temple worship where sex orgies was norm, practised even by heterosexuals. It was used in that context in both Caananite idol culture in Leviticus, and in Corinthian idol culture in all the new testament scriptures.
      So telling me that lonely celibacy is God’s will for me or to fake it with a wife is just as unscriptural.
      The pressures of rejection by christians and family ( most of whom wont even study the original languages of the Scriptures- not the modern wrong translations) often tempts me to also testify again that I am changed to heterosexual, just to recieve their love again, as when I testified the lie I once did.
      Further, it is quite comforting to know that it was not the ‘pro- gay activists’, but the founder of the biggest “ex- gay ministry” Exodus international, who announced that after DECADES, no true or lasting change occured in their councellees, but instead much hurt, broken lives, dissapointment. Please read it.

      Sorry to break it too you, but the original Hebrew and the Greek words are not speaking directly to temple prostitution. They are speaking of an action regardless of prostitution or a temple. Whoever told you otherwise is making things up to justify an agenda.

      The KJV English translation is about as literal and accurate as it gets concerning these passages.

      Le 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

      Le 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

      Ro 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
      25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
      26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
      27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
      28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

      The above statements have no context of temple prostitution. They are simple prohibitions of actions that are repulsive to our Creator. The doers of these things have been given over to reprobate thinking because they refuse to subject themselves to that which the Creator designed. Those that say that the only thing these passages are speaking of is temple prostitution are guilty of changing the truth of our Maker into a lie.

      Nobody said that righteous living would be easy. Some of us have a heavier load to carry, but we have not been given more than we handle.

      1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

      Reward awaits the soul that gives up their lives and their comfort and their desires to serve Messiah according to what is revealed in Bible. Suffering with Messiah brings blessing and glory in the end. Finding our own life instead of loosing it, will bring cursing and eternal death.

      Mt 10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

      Mr. 10:29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
      30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
      31 But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

      You simply will have to leave your homosexual lovers behind. It is a simple truth. It is a difficult truth…but it is the truth.

      Shalom

      Hendrik,

      So lets look at context a bit.

      Ro 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
      27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

      You see the the men left the natural use of the women and lusted after men. The women changed their natural use and lusted after women. This is the context. Nothing about temple prostitution. Just leaving their YHWH given design and lusting after that which was against His design. (He made the woman for the man.) There is nothing in this passage, or the entire Bible for that matter that says that homosexual desire is congruent with nature. Lets look at what the Bible says was going on in the land of Canaan.

      Ge 19:4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
      5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
      6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
      7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
      8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
      9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

      The context above shows that the men of the city, not a temple not for paid prostitution or temple prostitution, wanted men instead of women. This is the only Biblical scene of what was rampant in Canaan. The reason that YHWH did not bring the children of Israel into the land for over 400 years was because the sinfulness of the people in the promised land was not full.

      Ge 15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
      14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
      15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
      16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

      That which is against nature is not normal. It is strange. What does the Bible say about lusting after strange flesh and lust for uncleanness that Paul equates with sexual sin.

      Ro 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

      Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

      2Pe 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
      7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
      8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
      9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
      10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

      The men of Sodom went after strange flesh instead of natural desire. They wanted men instead of women. It is the lust of uncleanness. These sorts of people are selfwilled instead of submitted to YHWH’s design. They are in deep rebellion, whether they feel like it or not. The judgement of Sodom and Gomorrha is an example of what YHWH will eternally do to those that continue in homosexual rebellion.

      This is what the Bible says in English and in Hebrew and in Greek.

      Shalom

      Hendrik,

      Let’s look at the practical side.

      You have an attraction for men. I for women.

      The Bible says that I can have one women in marriage as long as we both shall live. Any other man or woman is forbidden to me. I may not divorce her and get another. I may not have another while I am married to her.

      The Bible says that you can not have any man as a sexual partner.

      The difference is one out of billions. You only have one less choice than I do concerning what gender we are attracted to. We both must abstain from lusting and fornicating and committing adultery.

      What about loneliness? Marriage does not cure loneliness. Sexual fulfillment does not cure loneliness. Only a real relationship with YHWH cures loneliness. YHWH does not want you lonely. He wants you to be fulfilled in Him.

      Now as far as man dwelling alone, He created woman to cure that. He did not create another man for Adam. If you do not want to share and live your life with a woman that is agreeable to such and arrangement, then you must remain sexually inactive. The command for man was to be fruitful and multiply. No homosexual relationship fits this command. If sex is your god or if not being lonely is you god, then YHWH is not. The truth is that you have recreated YHWH in your own image after your likeness and really you are an idol worshiper…you worship yourself and your ideas and feelings. You have exchanged the truth for a lie.

      If you are looking for fleeting happiness, engage in homosex and homosexual relationships. You will not be fulfilled or content or unlonely. Only a Biblical relationship with YHWH can fulfill. Most marriages fail because the parties involved look to their spouses for contentment, and fulfillment and to cure loneliness and find out that this is not what marriage is for.

      YHWH sent His Son into the world to die for us. He never had a wife. He never had a homosexual partner. He was completely fulfilled and content and knew His purpose because He had a perfect relationship with YHWH His father. If you are to never have a “partner” because of your integrity in that you are attracted to men and thus will not cheat a woman with a false relationship and in that you will not indulge your desire for men, then you have an opportunity to share in the sufferings of Messiah. Singleness may be your calling.

      Ro 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

      2Ti 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

      1Pe 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

      Heb 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;
      25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
      26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

      Shalom
