    Dr. Brown discusses the speech of Iranian leader Ahmadinejad  and asks the question: Has God really promised to protect Israel? Dr. Brown will also take your Jewish-related questions. Listen live here 2-4 pm EST, and call into the show at  (866) 348 7884  with your questions and comments.

    Hour 1:

    Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: I do believe that God has re-gathered Israel in mercy, and I do believe, although there will be shaking, attack, and certainly loss of life, that God will ultimately preserve the Jewish people; not only physically, but spiritually unto salvation at the end as well.

    Hour 2:

    Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: We can differ about eschatology the end times, we can differ about what will happen to Israel and the nations, but one thing we cannot differ about is that we are called to pray for God’s purposes to come to pass in the Jewish and Muslim world today.

      God brought the Jews back to the land for his name’s sake, therefore, for his name’s sake he will protect Isarel.

      Doesn’t the Bible also teach us that for his name’s sake God also drove them out of the land that he once brought them into?

      Isn’t that why they went into Babylon?

      Though many times God gave Israel dominion over their enemies, I think it’s good to remember also that God gave the enemies of Israel dominion over them at times.

      @Dr. Brown, regarding the northern tribes that went to Assyrian and then went to other nations – never to return to the land of Israel. Have you seen this?

      Of course it talks from an old earther evolutionary position, but if you’re someone who affirms that from Adam to the second coming is 6000 years, that would mean the dates in that article would need to be adjusted, and could well line up with the Galuth of Ephraim.

      Also, I believe that Christians who believe in the Millennium tend to be pro-Israel, while those who don’t, are anti-Israel.

      But the Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks makes a good point, there are many Marcion style “Christians” nowadays. That don’t feel any connection to the God of the Hebrew scriptures, and worship and love a god that is all love, all grace, all acceptable and would never send anyone to hell. The idea of a righteous, jealous God, who will judge everyone is offensive to them. The once saved always saved god is clearly nothing like the God of Israel.

      Yes; when Israel turns to God and embrace the Messiah that had come over 2,000 years ago. When Israel repents and confess Jesus Christ, He will return and destroy all nations that will go against Israel. Yes, God promised to protect Israel. God’s love for Israel endures forever, but Israel has to turn to God in humility. Israel has to return to God. Hosea 10:12
      Jeremiah 29:11,12 My God is the God of Abraham and Jacob. He’s the same merciful God of Abraham. If you are a true follower of Jesus Christ, you would know that and support Israel.

      @Dr. Brown,

      Just for the record, I disagree with the doctrine that all Christians come from Israelites. I don’t believe, for example, that the Inuits, the Icelandic, Greenlandic, the Sudanese, the Libyans are descendant from Israelites. And I don’t believe all Europeans are either, though there is some evidence that there was immigration to the north-west, but that doesn’t mean all Europeans descend from Israelites, but some of them could well be. Rashi understood it that way.
