Dr. Brown interviews Dr. Frank Turek on the issue of freedom of speech and then is joined by gay activist Mitchell Gold, a strong supporter of same-sex “marriage”.

    Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: First, we must be grounded in God ourselves. Is your life right with God? Are you walking in right relationship with Him? Are you grounded in the truths of the scripture? Second, when we are rightly grounded, we can reach out and help the dying, hurting world. Together we can make a difference!

    Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: We have some profound differences right here, but with this much we agree: God created everyone in His own image, Jesus died for everyone, and we ought to lay down our lives one for another.

It’s very simple, just as two plus two equals four, you cannot change what is true by definition. Circles are round by definition. To have a square circle is impossible and marriage by definition is male and female only (i.e., no same genders, non-living objects, or pets allowed). President Lincoln said,

“How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it a leg.”

Nobody is discriminating against numbers by saying two plus two can only equal four, and nobody is discriminated against in marriage. Every man has an equal right to find a wife, and every woman is free to find a husband. Marriage is defined as the union of a man and woman.

Governments tend to promote what benefits the community, and procreation benefits communities, farms, tax revenue, and the workforce. In this case it’s about what gets votes.

Marriage and the family is the basis of local government. This is based on family values and responsibilities. As we have torn down families, so have we torn down the communities and our nation. Chewing gum and cutting in line were the problems in schools when two parents in wedlock raising children was the desired goal. Now we have fatherless kids (many via No-Fault Divorce) doing every wrong action under the sun in our schools and are crowding our prisons. As the family, or lack thereof, goes so does a nation. Let’s conserve the pillars of American’s ethics by playing the hate card is an injustice.

While it might appear trendy to support the redesign of marriage, voters have always proved it unpopular. All the ways of supporting homosexuality are the same tactics used by supporters pedophilia. People need to respect how their body is designed and both examples in that last sentence are not natural and go against the way our bodies formed and the continuance of the human race.

Allow me to quote with appropriate reverence and non-judgmental, multicultural appreciation the great Iranian religious leader Ayatollah Khomeini who says to marry a girl before she begins menstruating is “a divine blessing.” Who are you to judge another culture, you’re not Islamophobic, are you? Neither am I, nor am I homophobic.

I thought Mitchell Gold used a lot of “I am the victim” stories and uses an emotional plea but could not argue extensively on the psychological studies.

Dr. Brown and Frank Turek, thank you standing up for truth and being BOLD about it in this debate! I was encouraged by the BOLDNESS for truth and you did not back down.

Good discussion. Dr. Brown, Dr. Turek, thank you for striving to keep this open, in love, showing sensitivity without letting up on what is true.

I think we must look at what Mitchell Gold said about young people being confused and hurt. The Church must strive to reach out and bring truth to young people (and old!) who are rightfully confused by the diverse voices speaking what seems reasonable and ‘tolerant’, but is actually based on a lie. Please follow up and address the idea that some are troubled by what they find themselves inclined to (homosexual feelings or proclivities), and have not been shown a way to reconcile those inclinations with the rightful teaching that homosexual behavior is sinful and harmful. We must seek the Lord for wisdom, love, compassion, while we teach what is true and lead in the way of discipleship in Jesus.
